Taking this motivation a step further, film “Zor Lagaa Ke Haiya” has joined hand with two NGO Vaatsalya and Aakansha, to put more emphasis on importance of nature and its preservation directly to children. “We have decided to hold a Painting Exhibition of young budding painters from these two organizations. And to give them the motive we have invited Mithun Chakraborty and five celebrity kids Megan, Ayesha Kaduskar, Hardik Thakkar, Ritvik Tyagi and Ashwin Chitale to see their paintings. Even if we can impress upon 10 children to be genuinely concerned about the environment then it is an achievement,” comments producer Kartikeya Talreja.
Adds the director Girish Girija Joshi, “about 100 children are taking part in this painting activity. They will be painting their vision and perception of nature and what would be the world like without any trees. In pour film children try to save one tree from being cut but it is only symbolic for the mindless destruction of forests all around us. Trees keep the balance of ECO system and we have to save them if we want a better world.”
World Earth Day is the day when focus is drawn to the value of environment. The yearning to save mother earth is stressed with more gusto and emphasis.
